A former middle school teacher, Polly Holyoke has been writing stories since she was in fifth grade.

When she isn’t tapping away on her computer, Polly loves camping, skiing, scuba diving and hiking in the desert. Her first children’s book, The Neptune Project, has been named to five state reading lists and won Florida’s SSYRA’s award. She is thrilled that Viking published the first two books in her new middle grade fantasy series. Skyriders is the story of brave young couriers on flying horses fighting to save their world from a deadly chimerae invasion.

Polly lives in Plano, TX with three rescue dogs, two spoiled cats and a wonderful husband who tolerates piles of books all over their house.
