TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE BIRDS!, illustrated by Matthew Cordell, sells to Knopf (Agent: Rosemary Stimola)

Rotem Moscovich at Knopf has bought North American rights to Terrible, Terrible Birds! by librarian Betsy Bird, illustrated by Caldecott Medalist Matthew Cordell, a funny (and true) picture book about Coach Kevin and Teca, two peregrine falcons trying to raise a family on the Evanston Public Library, and all the terrible mistakes they make along the way, showing that no one, not even animals, gets everything right the first time. Publication is set for spring 2027; Stephen Barbara at InkWell Management represented the author, and Rosemary Stimola at Stimola Literary Studio represented the illustrator.
