Michelle Lee is an illustrator and author who has been drawing since she could hold a pencil.

In addition to her latest, Jeong Is Jeong, other titles she has illustrated include Chloe’s Lunar New Year (Lily LaMotte), Some Days are Yellow (Suzanne Slade) and My Lost Freedom (George Takei), which received the Golden Poppy Award for Nonfiction (2024). When not illustrating, she enjoys sewing, gardening and camping. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband Charlie.
