MacKenzie Cadenhead is a children’s book and comic book writer.

In her previous life as an editor for Marvel Comics, she developed new content for young and teen readers. Now she writes for those readers full time. Her work includes comics (Marvel Mutts, Dogpool), chapter books (the Marvel Super Hero Adventures and After-School Heros series), middle grade fantasy (Sally’s Bones), and young adult science fiction (Sleeper).

She lives in New York with her family, both human and canine. And though she blames her city-kid upbringing for never having learned to ride a bike, she credits it with fostering her love of reading on long subway rides to school.
