Julie Sternberg came late to writing. She first tried selling shoes, and analyzing companies, and filing lawsuits. Then one day, after the birth of her second daughter, she started writing stories.

She wrote when she could, usually on the subway on her way to work. Now she writes full-time and has received an MFA in Creative Writing, with a specialty in Writing for Children, from the New School.
