Music for Aardvarks, a multi-faceted world of musical adventures, was created by classically trained, ex-punk rocker, David Weinstone. Raising his kids in the city, Weinstone saw a need for songs relevant to their lives that would also address themes universal to children everywhere.

Time magazine declared, “David Weinstone is music to the ears of toddlers and their grateful parents.” MFA is rocking live performances by David Weinstone & The Music for Aardvarks Band. It’s music videos airing daily nationwide on the Nick Jr. channel. It’s CDs that are grounded in real life, yet hip, with songs like “Taxi,” “Bagel,” “Play Date,” and “Subway” – celebrating childhood without hype or straining to be different for the sake of being different. And, speaking of hip, it’s also the hippest music class on the planet, love child of punk and preschool, hailed by notables from Philip Glass to Sonic Youth.

David Weinstone has just released his first children’s book with Farrar, Straus and Giroux titled Music Class Today! and Music for Aardvarks has just released their first app, Music for Aardvarks Coloring Jukebox combining his wonderful children’s music with the beautiful collage work of artist Stephen Kroninger.

Wienstone’s second book, All My Friends Are Fast Asleep, also with Farrar, Straus and Giroux, was released in September 2017.
