Amelia Bothe
Agent: Erica Rand SilvermanAmelia Bothe is an author-illustrator who grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is a recent graduate from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
She received a competitive 2022 and 2023 Society of Illustrators scholarship and has been nominated for the 2023 Zankel Scholarship Competition. Her first introduction to art as a child was through the children’s books she adored (and continues to adore). A few favorites were and are Stellaluna by Janell Cannon, Fairy Foals by Suzie Taylor, and Fritz and the Beautiful Horses by Jan Brett. She adores illustrating animals, both real and fantastical, as well as telling stories featuring fauna. Her work is grounded in authentic and realistic experiences and emotions while featuring visual whimsical twists.
