Shannon Stocker

Shannon Stocker is a singer/songwriter, blogger, and writer of picture books, Chicken Soup stories, and memoir (typically with a critter curled in her lap).

The proud word nerd lives in Louisville, KY, with her husband, two children, and stash of hidden dark chocolate. Shannon currently serves as SCBWI social co-director for Louisville, a judge for Rate Your Story, and created the blog series, Pivotal Moments: inHERview, highlighting transitional life stories of female picture book authors.

Cool facts: Shannon survived medical school, a coma, and once performed two songs, including one original, as part of an opening act for Blake Shelton. Her debut picture book Can U Save the Day was published by Sleeping Bear Press in August 2019.
