Terri Fields is an award-winning author of sixteen books who loves interacting with her readers through author visits in the U.S. and abroad. Having written books for kindergartners through seniors in high school, Terri enjoys the special challenges and rewards of writing for different age groups. Recent titles include Holdup! (Roaring Brook), After the Death of Anna Gonzales (Holt), and Burro’s Tortillas (Sylvan Dell).

Over thirty years in the classroom have given Terri a lot of opportunities to understand kids’ hopes, dreams, and fears. They’ve also provided many ideas for stories. As a teacher, Terri was named to the All-USA Teacher Team of twenty top teachers in America and selected as Arizona’s Teacher of the Year.
