Laura Dower is the author of more than 70 books for young readers of all ages—from media tie-ins to original fiction. A former Creative Director at Scholastic Inc., Laura left publishing to pursue her own writing full-time in 1999. Since then, she has written 25 books in the successful From the Files of Madison Finn fiction series for Disney, as well as The Boy Next Door, a middle grade novel, and Rewind, a YA novel, both from Scholastic. She is also the author of the nonfiction guide, I Will Remember You: A Guidebook Through Grief for Teen (Scholastic); author/editor of Real Teens: A Diary of a Junior Year, a six-book, anonymous, “real-life” journal series produced with Teen magazine and selected as a 1999 YALSA Quick Pick for Reluctant Young Adult Readers (Scholastic). She lives in New York with her husband and three young children, all of whom are a great source of joy, inspiration, and—alas—distraction.
