Lynne Berry grew up near Boston, Massachusetts, but now lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband, four dogs, two cats, and a fish. Though she has a Ph.D. in cell biology, she much prefers writing for children to writing scientific papers. When not writing, she enjoys trips to the park with the dogs, yoga, and peanut butter sandwiches. Her recent works include her Duck series of picturebooks, illustrated by Hiroe Nakata, published by Henry Holt.
